For the European HQ we are seeking a motivated Purchasing Specialist join the team!

Are you the person we are looking for?

The Purchasing Specialist will coordinate the movement of all purchased goods from suppliers to customers and the  distribution centers. This role also provides procurement support and services to internal operational teams. In addition, the Purchasing Specialist will support internal shared services functions through data entry and coordination with other internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with the suppliers to obtain product or service information such as cost, lead times, availability of stock and delivery schedules on select projects;
  • Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders for goods and services in the ERP system;
  • File and maintain records of all Pos, confirm Pos are received by suppliers and update Pos with shipment information;
  • Obtain pickup details from suppliers and liaise with internal teams;
  • Receive inbound orders into the Distribution Centers through ERP;
  • Communicate with suppliers on any invoice issues;
  • Request and analyze production quotes for new and existing items; suggest course of action to operational teams
  • Prepare various reports related to PO processing, supplier performance etc.
  • Assist with problem solving and troubleshooting supplier issues;
  • Monitor supplier raw materials, work in process and/or finished goods to identify potential issues in supply chain;
  • Assist in creation of supplier operating procedures and processes;
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;

Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar preferred;
  • 4+ years of experience in a related role is required
  • Experience with purchasing and vendor relationships preferred;
  • Enterprise Resource Planning software experience preferred;
  • Data entry experience preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluency in French and/or Italian is preferred;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word
