The Senior Process Utility Engineer will play a crucial role within the Process Engineering Discipline, primarily focusing on designing and developing engineering phases such as feasibility studies, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for utility units. The key responsibility of the Utility Expert is to provide comprehensive process engineering expertise throughout the Conceptual and Basic engineering design of these utility units. Additionally, they will oversee the ongoing development during the EPC phase, ensuring the acquisition and construction of utilities align with the Company’s objectives and technical requirements. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the utility units can reliably supply the necessary quantity and quality of services during plant startup, normal operation, and shutdown phases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conceptual design and basic engineering of utility units (ASU, instrument air unit, water treatment unit, wastewater treatment unit, cooling water unit, fire water, and offsite facilities).
- Prepare and review BE deliverables for utility units (site/utility data, PFDs, P&IDs, duty specifications, etc.).
- Review FEED/EPC contractors’ deliverables for utility units, ensuring proper development and purchase.
- Define/calibrate water balance, steam balance, waste water balance, and stream specifications.
- Conduct specialized studies (Brackish Water Intake, Hydraulic Studies, etc.).
- Coordinate and support other Disciplines/external parties during feasibility, FEED, and EPC phases.
- Support proposals, estimating projects, and technical bid evaluations.
- Participate in safety/integrity reviews and technical meetings.
- Maintain project objectives (Schedule, Quality, Cost).
- Contribute to Company Standard Practices and Work Instructions.
- Support training and development of Engineers.
What are we looking for:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, and minimum 15 years of experience in Oil&Gas / Petrochemical industry as a Process Engineer.
Technical Abilities:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in applying American and European codes and standards relevant to Process Engineering.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite software and commonly used Engineering Software (AVEVA, ASPEN HYSYS, PROII, HTRI, FLARENET) in the industry.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for effective coordination with other engineering disciplines and external subcontractors and vendors.
- Experience collaborating with international companies and licensors.
- Exhibit professionalism and sound technical expertise.
- Offer innovative ideas to enhance work execution.
